What to know about attractions & tickets in Amsterdam

Almost every Amsterdam sight can be booked online in advance – and that is exactly where the price gaps appear. Tiqets, Viator and GetYourGuide often sell the very same ticket for the same attraction but add different service fees and exchange rates. On this page we line up all three portals so you can see instantly where the identical experience for the Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, Zaanse Schans and Volendam combo tickets or a canal cruise is cheapest.

Prices come straight from the provider APIs or their public offer pages and are refreshed several times a day. What you see is the starting price per adult in euros. Child, senior and family rates as well as timed-entry surcharges may differ and are calculated in the provider's own checkout.

Do not only compare the amount: a ticket that costs two euros more but is free to cancel and arrives instantly on your phone is often the better choice when your plans are not fixed. That is why we flag instant ticket and free cancellation separately from the price in every provider table.

Many Amsterdam attractions sell out early on weekends and during Dutch school holidays, especially timed entry slots at the Anne Frank House or the Rijksmuseum. If you are flexible, book weekday morning slots – they stay available longest and are occasionally cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

Why do prices differ for the same ticket?
Each portal negotiates its own terms with the operator and adds different service and payment fees. On top of that, providers convert amounts into euros at slightly different rates.
Is the ticket at the cheapest provider the same one?
We match offers by title, duration and inclusions and only show hits we classify as the same experience. Uncertain matches are flagged separately so you can check them yourself.
Do I need a printed ticket?
For most Amsterdam attractions the mobile ticket on your phone is enough. Where a printout or exchange at the counter is required, the provider says so during booking.
